Entry for the January contest at :iconclub-tutu:

I read this in the description: "It's implied in the series that most people in the town knew the story of "The Prince and the Raven" and Princess Tutu's role, and most would not take this tragic role" and thought, well, who else would care enough about the prince? Fakir!

So poor Fakir has to not only transform, but genderbend, which of course causes him all kinds of emotional trauma.

And this picture is somewhat based on the image at the very end of Princess Tutu--with the "Auf Wiedersehn"--only I can't see any happy ending here. Even if Fakir somehow managed to balance both the knight's role and Princess Tutu's (which I doubt), the way Duck ultimately saved Mytho was through hope. And Fakir (especially without Duck) lost his hope years ago.

(Drosselmeyer says: Yay! A tragedy!)

Oh absolutely. When you consider the possibilities, Fakir had to have a fair shot at this role! Not only is the image wonderfully bloody and dramatic but your consideration towards the necessary changes in story progress is great too. Drosselmeyer must be kicking himself for missing this opportunity! Maybe his power doesn't extend to genderbending? haha, in all seriousness though, Fakir would make a completely kickass Ballerina-Knight and own every scene. He/She would be so extreme in every action, I can't even imagine the compassionate dance scenes as he was always so guarded with his emotions. Fakir would have to knock sense into the heart-shard sufferers with sheer will and blunt force! Or his sword. Oh sword-ballet would be so intense! And all the relationship implications this brings between Mytho and Fakir.. oh my... it would be a very different story indeed.

Very interesting idea of Fakir trying to balance two roles at once. I like it! (but poor Fakir having to genderbend LOL!! Maybe he could be PRINCE Tutu?)

Sapphire already said it all too perfectly. I love this! My sense of humor adores that kind of mental torture for characters (I can be as bad as Drossy, I know). But... I want a happy ending! *Cries*
